Denyut Semesta celebrates the collaboration between Asri Welas and WWF Indonesia, www.wwf.id/id in Malinau, North Kalimantan, where traditional Dayak women explored natural dyes sourced from the surrounding forests.
Using leaves, bark, fruits, roots, flowers, soil, and other natural materials, this initiative highlights the beauty of sustainable color, indigenous wisdom, and responsible textile creation.
More than a fashion story, this journey supports cultural preservation, women’s empowerment, and fair ecological benefits for indigenous communities. It reminds us that fashion can be beautiful, meaningful, and deeply connected to nature.
